MISSION STATEMENT

To thrive, everyone needs recognition as an active participant in shaping his/her local community. Immigrants and refugees leave behind their savvy and networking skills. These new arrivals seek a chance to participate fully and positively in their current community. The challenge is even greater if the new arrival had acquired a university education and work experience in their home country. Proving their professional competence, accessing the proper networks and learning the language of their profession requires local help.

Tennessee Immigrant Empowerment Solutions, Inc. (TIES) listens to the needs of the immigrant community and is open to collaborate with other organizations serving their needs. Currently TIES provides preparation for the citizenship interview and helps immigrants prepare for their driving test through our Drive to Success program.

Our mission is to integrate immigrants and refugees by empowering them to share their skills, achieve self-sufficiency and contribute to the local economy.
